Meet Libra!

 

Try out Libra, a chatbot in beta mode, powered by ChatGPT4o! 

Tell her a conflict you're focused on and she'll help you figure out how to respond!  She'll discuss your conflict situation in your own language and adapt to your age if you tell her these.

Like the mythological figure she's named after, we've designed Libra to reflect balance and perspective in her responses.   She blends our own peacebuilding materials with vast resources from the web.  

Be aware of these limitations:

  1. Accuracy: Libra is bright and confident but very fallible.  It's important that you accept responsibility to evaluate for yourself everything she offers.  Is that really any different than with human beings?  Guaranteed - she doesn't get upset when you correct her!

  2. Currency in time.  The data powering ChatGPT goes only till April, 2023.  Responses regarding public info about events since then are out of date.
  3. Human Oversight and Confidentiality: Libra operates autonomously, overseen by humans who monitor interactions periodically in logs for technical purposes.  At Riverhouse we won't share this info with anyone but we don't know exactly how ChatGPT uses it so we can't guarantee full confidentiality.   Feel free to alter any info you input in order to assure confidentiality.   
  4. Not a Substitute for Professional Advice: The information provided by Libra, like any bot, is not "professional advice".  Consult a qualified expert or professional for matters requiring professional judgment.

  5. Use at Your Own Risk: Your use of Libra and reliance on her responses are at your own risk. We disclaim any liability for any damages or losses that may arise from her use.

Train with tools designed by trainers and optimized for learning. Direct attention beyond numbers to core strengths, opportunities for growth, and strategic choices.

Prepare for diversity

Build conflict resolution skills in settings where managing differences is challenging. Use training tools with built-in cultural flexibility. Provide opportunities to discuss how diverse backgrounds shape habits in conflict.

Be practical

Ground learning in affirmation of existing strength. Give clear, simple feedback on areas of concern. Provide detailed suggestions for options to improve.

Be stress aware

Calm≠Storm. Recognize response to conflict as dynamic and not single state.  Give tools to manage the Storm Shift.

Be where they are

Provide multi-platform delivery of training. Support groups and teams scattered physically and working together online. Use time-saving web tools to facilitate learning for individuals, teams, or groups, in face-to-face workshops or online.

Work with limits

Price training materials in reach of all who need them. Reduce prep, coordination, and delivery time with trainer-friendly online tools. Deliver rich learning, on location or online, in less time, with less travel.

Take a long view

Expand the window of learning and support reflection before, during, and after workshops. Set up rich discussion in pairs, small groups, and large groups. Followup with resources for continued growth.  Facilitate journeys, not events.
